About sc-cons	English (USA)
Autscape's constitution subcommittee makes proposals to the main management committee and takes on tasks delegated by the management committee in the area of organisational structure. Its areas of responsibility are: planning for the transition to a charitable company; formulating proposals for the management committee to take that process forward; providing explanations to the management committee and answering questions from committee members about the process; drafting the new governing documents; carrying out research and liaising with outside agencies as necessary. Of necessity many of the discussions within this subcommittee will be fairly technical and relate to legal issues around incorporation and registering as a charity. We need members who have experience of these issues, particularly those who are good at explaining complex legal issues to others who are less familiar with them. We also welcome members who would like to understand the process in more depth and/or take on key roles in Autscape's future organisational structure. Ideas about any of these issues are also useful. However you do not need to join the subcommittee just to contribute ideas. If you *only* have ideas to contribute and you'd rather not actually join the subcommittee, simply email info@autscape.org with your ideas and they will be passed on to the committee chair.
